I Don't Like To Socialise

I don’t like to socialise; I’d rather stay in bed.
Leaving my warm house is something that I dread.
I’ll clean toilets, I’ll mow the lawn, I’ll even do long division,
But please don’t make me socialise, I want to watch television
I want to hide under a blanket, covered from head to toe
With all my favourite snacks and my favourite comfy clothes
I play my favourite song, a smile on my face.
Staying home is always a perfect way to spend the day.
Away from awkward silences and boring conversations,
I love to draw, because the only limit’s imagination.
I don’t have to worry, because the crowds are far away
The noise, the drama, and the rainy skies of grey
I sip hot chocolate peacefully and finally, I’m free
because I don’t have to socialise, it’s a great day to be me.
