REGRET OF PAST DAYS

I reached my homeland; I was very elated to meet my own
I thought that I will re-live my memories of school, but I was wrong
Time was passing by quickly from sunset to the time sun shone
We went in and out of the house and time was up before it was too long’
I am back now to this alien land that quickly became my own home
I sat on the couch reflecting on missed opportunities
Forgone friends, missed memories, I could form
Regret is now taking over me, as I miss times of unities.
Regret will now stay with me like a lingering thought
It shall become a part of me, withering away my heart
regret is a dark night, that will not stop and shall haunt
regret is a bird, caged with hardships that wouldn’t be apart
I hope this doesn’t last long; I hope there is second chance
Chance upon which I can redeem, the pain of regret
I wish I recover very soon from this traumatic trance
I hope this was not the end, end of it I bet
