Everyone's expected to be the smartest
the prettiest, the most amazing artist
but no matter what it's never good enough,
life has always been tough

but you can still be great without being the best
you can still be great without an A on every test,
except no because you can't just be great in life
it's like a box of chocolates or is it more like a knife

sometimes I feel like I'm dying
but yet I have to keep trying
I always want to scream and yell but that is forbidden
to be successful to be the best this must stay hidden

nothing will ever change all this will always remain
the world will always be filled with cruelty and pain
but you must keep living you must keep going
it's time to start running and stop tip toeing
