The sunlight beams down on the golden beach
Swimming up to the horizon where it can no longer reach
I sit there, taking in the sun
You sit beside me, tired from the run
You read my mind, always knowing what I am going to say
Just as the ocean knows when to go back up the bay
You are always there for me, and that is surely true
So, whenever you need me, I will be there for you
You are like a sister to me
A sister I will always need
A sister that always understands me no matter the trial
No matter what, you always know how to make me smile
But you are not my sister, and that’s alright
You are my best friend, through every worry and fright
And now we sit here watching the sunset waiting for another day
Another day that I know that our friendship will never stray
