There you sit upon the desk,
Your coloured rows a jumbled mess
Your white edges I will scan
To make an algorithm plan

The timer starts and I behold
A scrambled story to be told
Though fingers move with ease and grace,
My mind is focussed on the race

Click, Click, Click a rhythm is heard
As opponents battle across the room
Striving for a personal best
A speed that’s faster than the rest

Puzzled solved! Let stop that time
Am I the best? Is it my prime?
But alas, I didn’t win today,
Though my passion for cubing will always stay
