Daisies crawling with garnet,
Eyes searing with unlost anger –
Your fate shall never be forgotten
In this field of flowers.
Smiles and beams
So easily.. foolishly deceived;
Oh, a taunting mirage, nagging,
Relentless.
The consuming sense of sinking
In a boundless pit of despair,
It haunts me, it hurts me;
You are no longer there.
Why did I let you go?
Left to stare at this warm sepia photo –
Of what we once had:
Hope.
