Your heart is pounding
I could hear the trees surrounding.
The man said 5 minutes before the race
I knew I had to keep good pace
The man said they I will blow the horn in 3, 2, 1, go
I started Jogging, I knew I had to start off slow.
I hit the 1km mark.
The other people were running fast
I thought they would start a spark.
It is now the 2km mark, I was starting to slow down.
I was really tired so I had a frown.
100 metres to go, we all started to bolt to the finish line.
There were chills crawling up my spine.
It turns out I came ninth
One place to making it to the next round.
I think I lost a bit of weight, I think at least a pound.
