She spent her time fixing. She felt every inch of her life drifting,
Through every touch,
Through every burden. She felt herself mourning realising
That this is her life every morning. As she waters her plants
They never grow; she leaves them like her father
Whom she’ll never truly know,
As days turn into weeks and months turn into years,
She feels the weight of every tear
As to why the presence was never near,
And to why she sees the world as fear.
She is placed in a situation where she’s shattered glass, caused by the acts
In a place where she can only move back,
Besides the fact that she’s always alone,
She clings onto anything that made her feel home,
She checks on her plants that have never grown. Who’s to blame the absence of a home?
The plant or the environment that’s all it’ll ever know
She’s never been used to the ocean moving,
Now her life is gold slowly rusting to green. Will her plant ever grow if she’s never truly whole?
Will the plant ever grow inside of this home?
