Maybe We Fell A Little Too Deep

We fell. Maybe too deep as well, but we fell
Fell for something uncontrollable, unavoidable and something too irrational
But now I live just to remember the past
Those 2 AM messages, reminding me of how much you care
Those endless echoes of our awkward laughs, regardless of how many stares
Those tiny touches that gave me the warmth of the whole sun
Now I guess the realisation of our fall hit
Captures of what I thought to be permanent, saved in my gallery
But I wish we took more time to fill up my storage battery
Oh why did we have to fall so deep?
Now I sit and wait to hear your random stories about your crazy family
About how stupid your sister was and how your next door grew a garden of patchouli
Forgetting that we grew our own garden of infinite memories, but suddenly they all died ever so quickly
We fell. But yet, your whispers and your screams still run in my ears
That wide smile still brings comfort to my eyes
And those 'out of the blue' kisses are still felt on my head
Our paths did cross, but we weren't ready. As no matter how many times we try to delete 'us', it happens to become 'we'
Unable to picture 'us' anymore in our current dilemmas, but forever envisioning our recorded memories
