Why Won't Today Change?

Once upon a time there was a better place,
No pollution in sight,
It was hot and cold where it was meant to be,
The world was just right.
When fossil fuels started to sell,
Nobody knew it wouldn't end well.
Now our greed has led us astray,
There is no future if we don't find our way.
Now coals burning, souls dying,
people losing, people crying,
ice melting, places warming,
homes flooding, winds storming,
People say it's going to change,
but I don't see much difference,
if only adults would close their eyes,
open their ears and listen.
