Summer
Summer is the feeling I get on the last day of school.
I feel like this year has been too cruel.
I can't wait for the first day of year eight.
But summer means a fresh batch of pancakes on my plate.
Summer means I get to sleep in.
So, I wake up in the morning with a huge grin.
The awards at school have just been announced.
But it was name that they unannounced.
But hopefully this summer will be filled with glee.
To run to the backyard and climb a tree.
Summer means to be free without an end.
I'm just thinking of all the money I could spend.
On Friday I will be able to go to the zoo.
But summer is fun because I can spend it with you!
I'm getting ready to feel the warm sun on my beautiful skin.
Oh, I just can't wait for Summer to begin!
