The elevation of a rope, A knife indefinitely honed, The curvature of a pill, The overshadowing finger to a trigger

So elementary yet restraining
So sharp yet solace
So petite yet malignant
So many tries, do I have 9 lives?

The tight grasp of the rope
The concluding scar made
The last thing I’ll eat
The final thing I’ll aim

So content yet, despondent
So comforted yet, alone
So joyful yet, empty
So loved yet expendable

So afraid, so tired

So indecisive, yet so very certain.
