Miserable, despondent,
Death after death after death,
All alone, help captive by strangers,
Not a single glimpse of hope in sight,
Whispers of fear,
Dart around the atmosphere,
Inevitable fate awaiting,

Peering through the murky view of the window,
Wondering where my family is,
Savouring the fragmented moments of happiness,

Until..
The heart-piercing reality sets in,
As a child convict,
This is my story,
Our story,
For I am one of many.
