If I could jump and reach the stars
If I could free those caged and bared
If I could guide the moon and sun
If I could make all hate be done!
If I could rise up to the night
If I could spread my wings and take flight
But alas, it is not to be…
I cannot do these things, you see
Instead, I lie hidden and invisible
Not a hero, not invincible
I’m normal and average, living in a fantasy
Far away from truth, from harsh reality
But maybe, someday, I could be more…
Something never thought possible before!
Maybe, someday, I will spread my wings
And happiness and hope I will bring!
