My mind was mired in a deep labyrinth of emotions.
It was an impenetrable maze that I couldn’t handle.
My heart had grown too brittle to stay and remain whole.
Life's rhythm ran wild, confused at which way to go.
A knife ripped me open leaving a bottomless, gaping wound.
Engulfed by the sea of misery, I sunk into its depths.
My feelings, like glass, shattered leaving a scar deeply rooted.
The beats of life deafened as the scar aged within me.
Well, that's all I knew up until I heard you.
Oh, you were the water to me, a withering plant.
You were the sunshine that lit up my dark path.
You were the wind that blew me away from my melancholy's grasp.
You made me a bird flying out of a cage into happiness.
Burned in the lava of pain, you extinguished that fiery inferno.
You were a miracle that instantly healed my scar deeply rooted.
I felt so taken care of all because of you, my love, music!
