Caterpillars to moths,
Live for a week,
As they have no mouths,
And living is not what they seek,

To live only a short while,
But know exactly what they need,
No time for pondering,
Instincts taking the lead,

Beauty adorning their fragile wings,
Gloriousness carefree,
Thought free, purposeful,
No opportunity to wait and see,

Lives laid out,
Minute to end,
A straightforward life,
A simplicity one ours could never lend.
