Where Is Summer?

Sapphire looked out of the window.
“It’s not fair!” She thought.”It’s Summer and it’s still raining!”
“Don’t worry Sapphire, Summer will come.”Assured Sapphire’s mum.
Sapphire put her boots and jacket on.” I’m going to find where Summer went!” She called.”I’ll be back before dinner.” She added as her mum frowned.

Sapphire walked into a field of flowers.
Dandelions, Daisies, Roses and more!
There, sprawled on the ground, was the famous cat, Summer.
Sapphire tickled Summer on the belly.
“MEOW” Summer woke up with a start.” Summer! Quick! It’s Summer already!” Whispered Sapphire.
Summer ran back to the village and found the perfect rock to stand on.
She opened her mouth and let out a huge “MEOW” that filled the air.

The rain stopped instantly.
People came out and cheered!
Even Sapphire’s mum came out.
“You’re a hero!” Sapphire cried.
Everyone smiled.
“Glad to help.” Smiled Summer as she ran back to the beautiful field.
“Dinner time!” Called Sapphire’s mum from the kitchen.
