Why are they so smart?
It’s messing with my brain.
I wanna know how to do it,
But my answers are all too lame…
They’re up front and centre,
Where everyone can see.
I’m out of sight, backstage
Thinking; ‘What’s in it for me?’
How do they know what to say?
And why don’t I understand?
Make me sound like them…
All wiser, I demand!
I’m unfocused, I zone out.
No wonder I’m not ‘on stage’
They’re thoughts are free and working,
Whilst mine’s locked up in a cage!
