I lay awake in bed
Thoughts streaming though my head
The that pain I have caused
Brings me to a guilty pause
The flashbacks playing in my mind
Take me back to mid day
When I lost control
Screams cries tears
I remember her cry after my final insult
Sounding as though I had pierced her heart
With a dagger of my hatred
Tears filling my eyes
As is I trap myself in grief
And drift off to a guilt filled sleep
