The winter nights are as cold as a fireless hearth
And the gust of wind circulates around the earth
I sit by the fire
That’s all I desire
While sipping on a bubbling cup of coffee
I suck on a chocolate toffee
And I read the latest magazine of the daily weather
But the winter mornings are different
Where the snow crunches under my feet and soaks my shoes
And looks like silver beads on my coat
I see the sight of speckles of snow dancing to the ground
And staying o’er the lake afloat
Then the pleasant colour of the sky begins to fade away
As the night dews on the world
