A child flying through a field
Grassy green ground, a maze of nature
Flower seed soars out of small fingers
My tiny base lands on the cement road
Born in an impossible place
Fearing cars and trucks to come
I try to rise so they can see me
And so, slowly but surely...
I grow, bursting bright blinding hues
I stretch on endless drowsy mornings
I cannot hide, escape, nor run
So I make the most of my new home
I bring hope, I am beautiful for everyone
Now a tall, golden blossom
Lighting up my new home
My used-to-be-dark road... now full of hope.
