Waves
As the waves crash upon the shore
And the seagulls fly, the birds soar
I hear children laughing, children playing
Building sand castles that won’t be staying
As the waves crash upon the shore
My mind flies, my mind soars
How could a place such as this
Give one such comfort, such bliss?
I know these thoughts won’t be staying
Hearing children laughing, children playing
I must return home the next day
As I watch the sunset
I think of how much I will miss
A comforting, happy place like this
As the waves crash upon the shore
