The temperature’s mild
The crowd’s going wild!
They’re as excited as can be
Below we can see
What we all wish to be
A gold medal winner for our country.

The starter whistle blows
And off they go!
Competing for their nation and their team
The laughter and tears
Will be remembered for years
For winning gold has always been the athlete’s dream!
