A Cheaters Guide to Getting High Distinction

I felt proud as my mum handed me my $50 and my dad put my certificate of High Distinction on the shelf. Afterwards I deserved it. Maybe not because I studied, but because I cheated. Yes cheated. But anyway it was hard. I’ll tell you the story.

First of all I’ll tell test and swap them back at the end? And hey, that’s how I did it. At the beginning of the test I swapped the papers and at the end I did the same. It was a piece of cake! you what a High Distinction is. It’s the highest result you can get in New South Wales competitions. I’ll tell you the order from the highest to the lowest. High Distinction, Distinction, Credit, Participation. I never got anything over a Credit. But let me tell you one thing: I studied. I studied, studied, studied, studied, and studied, but still never got any distinctions. Anyway the idea came to me the day before the test. I was reading a book called Jessica’s adventures, Number 7, The Hatred of the King. In it Jessie was sent back by a sorcerer to the medieval time, and she found out that the king hated her, and that he was planning to poison her. The next day at school was the day of shock. At assembly Miss Collins was at the microphone. “Now I would like to announce the 2 students who got High Distinctions for the Maths Test. First of all, there is Michaela Zang, 5B.” I beamed and waved. “And next is our medal winner, Marcus Crony!” The hall boomed with cheering. What? How could this be possible? I swapped the Papers! Hold on a sec. I deserve the money from my parents more than I thought did. I was the one who won the medal not Marcus! Oh Well. Guess I’ll never cheat again.
