Sometimes tears show,
Sometimes they hide,
We might know that they're there,
But we push them aside.
Tears are held in,
And tears are let out,
We cry when in trouble,
And all is in doubt.
Relationships stay,
Relationships leave,
Then we cry to ourselves,
We sulk and we grieve.
We may cry when we're happy,
Filled with joy and great gladness,
We may cry at a loss,
Filled with anger and sadness.
We avoid many horrid things,
But we can't avoid tears,
They come over and over,
Throughout all of life's years.
