The ultimate sacrifice was spread upon the cross,
Few are found and so many remain lost.
Minds continue to grow more corrupt
As sardonic comments in the heart erupt.
Pain and torment endured on the cross
Suffering incomparable loss.
Beaten, bruised, spit upon
Hung next to killers and cons.
Power and prestige given up
Only to see blood flow out of its cup.
Cursed and mocked,taunted as well
Merely to free sinners from the gates of hell.
Only to get back unbelievable travesty,
People make remarks with absolute perversity.
Everything was given out of the act of love,
In return there is hate for the flawless Dove.
