Darkness

As the shadow of darkness slowly appeared
My courage and bravery quickly reared.
He drew more power and covered the light
And I thought at that moment I fought my last fight.
But I stood my ground
And made no whimper or sound.
Darkness came fast
And it ended at last.
For I use courage and might
And won with the light.
For the evil I had slain
A hero I became.
