Oh dearest Nan why did you pass
It was a sad day and your last
Why did you leave, why did you go
Why did you die, I do not know

From 1921-2006 you liked to look at the sea
You liked to care, share and look after me
You were always happy, nice and kind
Through the whole of our life you have always shined

Your body was weak but your mind was smart
You always had the sweetest heart
You knew almost every thing there was to know
Do you know how much I miss you so

I miss you more with each passing day
There are so many things I want to say
You once were young, wild and free
You know Nan, you were just like me
