Just a kid

It's hard just being a kid today,
I can't never express what I want to say.
I'm always being ordered to do this and that,
Why can't I just be myself, you know, that boy with the hat.
I go to school and work all day,
I come home and do homework, no time for play.
Mostly, I like being a kid, it's really fun,
You know, those days I get to play in the sun.
I have more fun times than I do bad,
Especially, time spent with my Mom and Dad.
