For she is really gone; a sad victim of pain.
Not able to wake at dawn, taking her life in vain.
No one could ever know why; it is one big question.
How could she want a life with no further progression?
Today I wake up to the bright sun of a beautiful day,
not knowing what was to come or what my mother would say.
My mother’s words seem fake as she tells me the news.
I tell her it is a mistake, but deep down I know I’ll lose.
As the day goes on, the mystery turns into a mess.
The whys and hows flow upon our confused family in distress.
Was she angry or sad, was she depressed or ill,
did we somehow make her mad, and make death, her new will?
I wish I could change the past and save your young life.
Your death came too fast, stabbing my heart like a knife.
If only your will wasn’t done, I could’ve helped some way
So you could’ve seen the sun on that once beautiful day!
