When I woke in the morning
It wasn't the same
It came without a warning
It was the bright sun's flame
I tried to walk
but fell right down
I thought I hit a rock
My Mom laughed and though I was a clown
I got in my car and started to drive
But had to stop in fright
I was about to do a nose dive
Into the mailbox of Mrs. Wright
My lesson learned from this tale
Is to be careful with the sun
For it will always prevail
Making all kids late for school one by one
