One of a kind

Deep in the snow,
under the sea.
No one can know
what I've come to be.
Misunderstood,
"So out of line."
Please realize,
I am one of a kind.
You hypocrites tease,
"She's a freak," People say.
Why can't you see?
These are roles people play.
We are given a label
by which we are judged.
But since I'm not able,
I never will budge.
Not if you tease me,
not 'cause of your threats.
This comes as a shock
to you people, I bet.
I've become numb
to these comments you make.
You can take me,
and shake me,
but i never will break.
I've tried to explain,
but you just won't listen.
I have tried to complain,
but you don't want to see.
You won't accept me.
Because I'm one of a kind.
