Letter from war

A soldier at battle,
Writes a letter to his wife.
He dosesn't write about the war,
Nor whats happening in his life.
He doesn't write about injury,
or his mates which are dead.
He doesn't write about the visions,
Forever running through his head.
He writes three simple words,
Which through distance mean much more.
He tells her that he loves her
And he signs it forevermore.
