Why did you say you loved me?
When you clearly didn't care,
You said you would do anything,
But you were never there.
Why did you say you'd mend me?
If my heart would break?
You may have glued it back together,
But your the one who made it ache.
Why did you say you'd hold me?
When I felt so blue?
Why did you say you'd comfort me?
But never see it through.
Why did you say you'd share with me?
Just even a little while,
When my pain was robbing that you'd lend me a smile.
Why did you say you'd dry my tears?
From within my pain did flow,
You always said you loved me,
But you never let it show.
