Everyday Eddie cared for others
Disagreed with the government, about
Not having land rights.
It was disappointing that he died too soon,
I liked the way he never gave up.
Eddie Mabo had lots of spirituality,
He loved his land.
My hero!
Approval for the indigenous people land rights at last.
Brave, as brave as a warrior,
One person and he changed the world!
