Ode to my once dear cat Pearl
As white and as delicate as snow,
Your lilac nose and your deep blue eyes
My once dear cat Pearl
Every ginger step that you made
Is now as precious as the diamond,
Which was placed in the center of my heart
My once dear cat Pearl
The night that you left me,
My once dear cat Pearl
The sight of you lying on the black rug in winter
And chasing the grey flittering moths in summer
Oh what I would do to see you just once more
To stroke you just once more
To talk and play with you just once more
Even just to stare into your stunning eyes just once more
Oh what I would do for you, my once dear cat Pearl
