I am words feared spoken
from the heart
Wispers reaching out
to those who will listen

I am emotion
dripped, poured from the lips
and recorded on the page
with hopes of recognition

I am the heart of those
who can no longer speak
I am their legacy
Recorded throughout time

I am rythm, free verse, and ryhme
Love, anger, joy, agony
All live through me
For I am poetry
