Far away voices calling

As the icy water ran out to sea,
A mysterious voice called to me,
I closed my eyes and slipped my fingers through the sand,
Noticing how each grain was so bland,
I headed down the beach,
The voice I knew, was just out of reach,
The sun beat on the back of my neck,
This wonderful calling sounded a wreck,
Terrible thoughts filled my mind,
I felt weak and blind,
A cold hand lay on my shoulder,
My insides felt warmer and my outsides colder,
I opened my eyes and turned around,
Mums eyes were brimming with tears,
Her slender fingers slid above my ears,
I tried to calm, the blackness of my hair lay in my view,
First I lost one, now a few,
My grandpa ill my Grandma dead,
That had been enough to fill my head,
Now they were gone,
Could i go back in time and be reborn,
Would the voice always be there showing me on the way,
Keeping my temper and needs at bay,
