Tears of sorrow

Splash! One falls and then another,
Will it ever stop?
Though I try, I can’t recover,
And another one will drop.
These tears will not depart,
The pain, I can’t ignore.
Sadness fills my heart,
And the tears still seem to pour.
I cannot find a place,
For the secrets I must hide.
Distress contorts my face,
As they well up deep inside.
My life has been a blur.
My dreams I can’t fulfill.
How could this occur?
Alas, one more tear to spill.
