Please say the words I long to hear,
Those words you whisper, oh so near.
Act them out for all to see
Because I love you and you love me,
And it’s natural that all should see.
You said those words,
But they sound hollow.
Is it because ‘we’ will be no more tomorrow?
Love was supposed to be shared I thought,
Or was it that those words had gotten caught ?
I thought you and I were meant to be ,
That I was for you and you for me.
But those words I don’t long to hear,
Don’t whisper them , oh, so near.
For they don’t make me smile,
Instead they make me run a mile
