Red, white, and blue

Let me tell you a story of a country so proud and so true
Where what the people stand for is the Red, the White, and the Blue
Now it wasn’t always this way
Let me tell you as much as that
Because there were taxes on sugar, taxes on tea
Taxes on anything good you see
Then came the Boston Tea Party and the Revolutionary War
America was a British Country no more
We got our own law
And soon people saw
That this country so proud and free
Was made for people like you and me.
