Malevolent darkness

Moonlight is my only mistress,
Nighttime is my only master.
My mind's eye can see what's far from sight.
My heart wrenches with desire.
I've gone too deep, there's no way out.
The darkness: reaching, tempting, excruciating pleasure.
Sorrow, pain both borne within my breast.
There's nothing now, no one to see.
The illusions wrapped around my heart grow closer, nearer,
Until finally it's too hard to breathe.
