We stared like crows into another’s eyes,
That bond between us forever alive,
But one must go one must rise
And leave this place for the sake of both.
Our eyes grew weary as the wind blew,
But never grew weary as we continued to watch.
Two orbits of the sun but I never left you,
Our bond grew stronger as we continued to watch.
I saw you blink you broke the bond!
I saw you scared as snakes so slither,
But you stood with strength you stood,
And with more you turned on me.
‘I must go,” you said, ‘I must.’
But reply I did not for I could not,
You ran with speed away from me,
And the very first tear slid down my face.
