As droplets fall from tearful eyes
Doves and bullets fly in the sky
Children scream as their mothers die
Whilst men of power hide their lies
Explosions in the distance
As a reporter finishes his sentence
Young men given weapons of war
Hoping to enter the sacred door
Why oh why won’t it end?
How many more must we send?
Peace, liberty and freedom
We can’t give it with our wisdom
But not like this.
