I look at my life,
And nothing resembles me.
I think I worry too much,
About what other people see.
I’ve got the shoes; I’ve got the hair;
I’ve got the mobile phone.
Surrounded by people who say they’re my friends,
But I know that I’m alone.
They say to relax and not to worry,
But they forget that it is hard.
You’ve got to be beautiful, funny and cute,
And never let down your guard.
Maybe one day I’ll live the way I want,
And rely on intelligence and luck.
But for now I think I’ve got to accept,
That being a teenager sucks.
