2nd in the 'Watch Out! 2000' competition
An eagle soars high over icy mountaintops.
He sees his mirrored reflection in the still, cool pools of water.
Water which flows down between white misty mountains.
Tall trees with green and orange leaves shadow a shabby little cottage.
Sheltered like a fountain beneath the misty mountain,
He soars higher and higher into the deep blue sky.
He will not stop he just sails on by.
With a glance of his eye he sees his prey,
But he leaves it there for another day.
He grabs a branch from an old oak tree.
He looks so brave, so worldly.
He watches as the sky turns grey.
Like a thunder bolt he roars away.
With the grace of a lion and the strength of a bear,
I see him flying free, free in the air.
