My Angel

My angel doesn’t dress in white,
He doesn’t have a halo or wings.
My angel doesn’t live in the clouds,
Read minds and fly and sing.
My angel isn’t perfect,
Or good in every way.
My angel doesn’t glow in the night,
Or even in the day.
But my angel saves me every time
His music enters my head.
My angel lightens my heart of grief
And gives me happy thoughts instead.
My angel isn’t a genius,
All the answers, he does not hold.
But my angel has always protected me,
As he tries to protect the world.
