War

The guns blaze all around me
my fellow soldiers fall
its hard in all this violence
to stand up proud and tall.
My mate he falls beside me
then he says my name
"mate tell my girl i love her
and say there was no pain".
My Mate he was a good one
He had no fear at all
And when we were just teenagers
we both would have a ball.
But now that fun was done
And we both had joined this war
but now my mates life was over
it had been taken by a gun.
