War

Upon the ground and up in the air,
The battle rages thoughtless and unfair,
Many friends and brothers are caught in this bloody fight,
And so many take flight,
What is the point to just stand, fight and die?

The ring of bullets, the scream of bombs,
The death of men, the destruction of homes,
What is the point of this show of power?
The spectators are the dead,the judges die within the hour,
Both teams lose men and the trainers watch them die, but why?

It still rages on, a beast that seems never to die,
Yet still the question is why?
People die, people are hurt in many ways,
Yet still war stays
Ever hungry.....
