Dancing on this small side street,
People fleeting to the music beat.
Lying down is a stray dog,
My fire is burning in the midnight fog.
I hold onto my old wooden cane,
People look at me as if I am insane.
The melody from the radio goes clickity cloc clac,
The streets town clock goes tic toc tac.
My wee small bucket is nothing but it,
As my face turns red as if it has been lit.
I feel so brilliant but as I do shy,
People chattering as they go by.
The children are laughing at my strange face,
But their parents don’t think I am really ace.
Dancing on this small side street,
People fleeting to the music beat.
